Lady Justice Reads My Blog

I'm feeling better anyway but THIS? This just made my afternoon. No less than TWO DAYS after I had my own day in court due to this incident. For those of you too lazy to click through to the glory that is Chicagoist, let me share their fine (albeit a tad sarcastic) reporting:

The Law Offices of Blake Horwitz is filing a class action lawsuit against the city, Mayor Daley, and several police officers for illegally ticketing thousands of drivers in violation of the cell phone ban since its inception over two years ago.

Apparently, the law required the city to post signs all over the place telling us we’re not allowed to call our BFF while driving. And since they are clearly nowhere to be seen, the law was never properly enforced. The lawsuit hopes to refund the money to everyone that has been issued a citation.

Damn. Straight. Justice, you really need to comment every once and awhile when you stop by TKTC because we want to give you mad props. And I'd love to try figuring out where you're logging in from....

I know, right? What are the odds? Doesn't mean I won't be digging out my little ear bud but at least I'm not alone...

heck yes, can they also sue the city for not posting signs saying that it's illegal to make u-turns?? because that would be great.
