I Do What I Want

I know I had all kind of grand plan for a Part 2 post to rival the original but no can do. No, today I was up at 5:15, done at the gym by 7, had voted by 7:50, in the office at 9:10, out the door at 5:30 (no breaks) and I came home.

And promptly left again to grab dinner and beers at Mac's with D, my first and favorite "neighborhood" friend. Pear Salad with Grilled Chicken? Yes. Fat Tire? Yes. Great Company? Always.

D humored me for dinner in spite of the fact that there is a reported 14 inches of snow on the way (5 tops) and he was still planning to play soccer at 10:10 pm. Ha- he's been in the game for 10 minutes and I'm ready to go to bed. I love the discrepancy in personal work ethic happening here.

I can't keep my eyes open. I'm in the middle of my laundry, there are a few dishes in the sink and I just don't care about anything beyond a tank top and super soft sheets. I think I'm about to salivate at the thought. AND I'm excited. Because I'm working out in the pm and not the am tomorrow...9 hours of sleep what? Who is this person??!!

I won't totally leave you high and dry. I missed my old roommate/househusband Peter today and so I will let "Dot" tuck you in.

Right by ALL of our houses...seriously. Not even a full block from any of us. I think we're going to try to make it a regular-ish thing so no fear, next time it is on for a Wicked Park triad.

Whatever did you do that was infinitely cooler than kickin it with your blog buddies? ;)

One of my best friends used to live around the corner from Mac's on Wood. One of my favorite stories was when another friend lost a bet and the three of us went there on a quiet afternoon. To fulfill her mission, she had to be a loud talker the whole time we were there. We eventually were asked to quiet down or leave. It was funny while it lasted...

D: How much do you love Dot? Go to YouTube and search Dot MadTV. Maybe not right before bed. Save bedtime for Okra.

Susie: Hi Beth!! We did miss you. I am booking my ticket with Dad this weekend. The really nice thing about "family" trips.

Nilsa: We'll have to try that out at Waterhouse:)
