Picking Paint Colors Is Not Ok With My Birth Sign

Office Paint Project

This is the wall of my "office" at home right now. You know my office....the annex off the kitchen (how appropriate) that currently just collects laundry and piles of things. Much like my actual office only that desk seems to collect tupperware. (What? I never claimed to be neat, just enthusiastic)

It started two years ago, when I bought the two shades of blue on the wall now. It took me TWO YEARS to paint swatches and it happened quite suddenly and I think it scared Jaimeson. One minute I was planning a dinner party menu and the next minute I had cleared everything off my desk, laid out a tarp, Scotch-taped the trim and was ferociously opening years old paint cannisters because I could not stand that white, uneven wall one. more. minute.

Then I decided that maybe green would be my color because I needed something that could be earthy but still be punchy as an accent wall with the white trim. And I don't think either of these are it because it my head it was supposed to be chartreuse but a shade closer to grass. I'm going into the whole debacle with the Trappers on Sunday (immediately after catching them up on the HoneyCat escapades because I'm really charismatic in groups like that and apparently an EXCELLENT listener) and Drew goes, "Maybe NONE of them are right."

I believe this was meant to bait me (success!) because now I've all but returned to square one and my office is singing "A Coat of Many Colors" by Dolly Parton. I need help, I do not know what I'm doing and Mondrian was not the look I was going for. Click the photo and it will take you straight to Flickr where the color close-ups live.

I can't live like this.

So funny! I just picked out the colours for my new kitchen. My approach is just the opposite. I pull a bunch of samples. Stand out in the natural light. Pick the, by gallons and never look back. In university I ended up with the worst coloured bathroom that ever was. I wanted a crisp mint green- it looked just like lime sherbert. Not the best after a night out- if you know what I mean,
